Siemens speaker pair for motion picture porjector

The speaker pair in the pictures is assumed to be made in early of 1960s by Siemens Norway for motion picture projector. The pair has extraordinary shape. When each cabinet combined, it changes to tetragonal bag for easy carrying. Each speaker has oval type alnico units also made by Siemens with exclusive speaker wire/din plug.

In order to test the performance, Simens Klangmeister RG12 was matched and the sounding recorded on Youtube. Here is the link where you can enjoy such a nice and sweet sounding.

Even though the units is alnico fullrange, the speakers made so soft and sweet sounding without sharpness. The music you are listening is played by Chet Baker.

The condition of units and cabinets so outstanding and backside of the units also good. Whitening backside like power might be caused by elapse time for 60 years which would not give any influence to its performance.

Considering size of unit and cabinet, you may not expect magnificent sounding like Altec or JBL but if low output tube or TR type amplifier matched, the sounding will be beyond your expectation.
